Semaine Éblouissante : Cross-cultural seminar with ISCOM on cross-border mergers and acquisitions
This week was marked by an exceptional event: a fascinating intercultural seminar organised in collaboration with ISCOM, focusing on culture in cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
We were deeply impressed by the quality of the work and the innovative ideas ⭐ contributed by our students and experts. Their commitment and creativity shone throughout the seminar.
Our sincere thanks go to our 12 teams of experts. Their initiative was crucial to the success of the Franco-Swedish merger between Elite Group and Fair Beauty 🎯 a venture that had a complex start-up with its share of misunderstandings. Thanks to their hard work, this merger is now on the road to success.
These teams have demonstrated the importance of cultural intelligence, harmonising national and organisational cultures to transform differences into strategic assets. 🌍 How did they achieve this? By identifying the key success and failure factors linked to culture in mergers and acquisitions, meticulously analysing corporate cultures in Sweden and France, and preparing a comprehensive strategy. This strategy included rebranding, external communication, guidelines for managers and team building activities, all aimed at creating a unified organisational culture for the merged entity.
A huge thank you to Sergey Tyshchenko of Mutares for sharing with us his invaluable international experience in mergers and acquisitions, and for his essential advice: Prepare - Ask - Listen (PAL).
We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to the coaching team, Aline Besselièvre and Yann LeBaccon, for their collective intelligence and productive collaboration during this seminar.
Our thanks also go to Rebecca Dry and Florence Girard from ISCOM for making this wonderful opportunity possible and for their invaluable support.
